Women's Studies minor is an excellent companion to any major you might
pursue. We offer a rich selection of courses, taught in small classes,
which allow you to get to know classmates and professors on an individual
basis.
The objective of the Women's
Studies minor is to encourage students to analyze the roles, perspectives
and contributions of women, and to engage in analysis of gender and
sexuality in a variety of disciplines. Through examining women's
history, present conditions and future possibilities, students will come to
understand ways in which gender is socially constructed, and the types of
critical and transformative analysis that might help deal constructively
with women's issues and gender concerns.
